Hi friends,

We are encouraging the public to register for a basic membership with us, and by registering, we would like to offer them to join our event for $0 (free). Public who does not want to register for an account will have to pay $50 to join the event.

However when I was exploring the s2member addon, the minimum threshold is 1. There is no way of selecting 0 (s2member level). How can we go about doing that?

Hi,

The S2Membership plugin is designed to separate which levels of members get the membership pricing. It was designed so that level 0 members (free members more often than not) would not get the membership price.

If you need all levels of members to get the membership price, disable the S2Member integration plugin.

Hi Dean,
We are looking into creating different pricing for different levels. For example:
Not a member: $100
Level #0: $50
Level #1: $10

Can this be done? Thanks!

Hi,

Not with WP User Integration and S2Member Integration.

WP User (let’s call it Members for ease) is fairly black and white, if you’re logged in you’re a member and you get the discount.

All S2Member Integration does is offset what Members does, so instead of ALL logged in users getting the discount, it steps the level up to start at X level (s2member level 2 for example).

It is still only one or the other though; tiered pricing like what you are after isn’t currently possible.

Will it be possible to make a suggestion regarding tier pricing then?

Right now we create 2 events in eventespresso for a single event.
– First event will be publicly available on calendar
– Second event will be hidden (using waitlist) and available only on members welcome page. We do tier pricing by using the standard (for level 0), and member pricing (for level 1).

If the public know the url of the “hidden” event, they are still able to get it off at the standard pricing (level 0). Well we are hoping they don’t find out the url. I thought we could do something to make life easier, that is tier pricing, so we don’t have to create 2 events every time.

Hi,

What do you mean by “tier pricing” exactly? Tier pricing based on an s2membership level? EE4 will have tier pricing based on quantity but it will not check the “level” of their “membership”.

Hi Garth,

Yeah based on membership level (Level 0 and Level 1). Is that possible through any means? Or maybe will discount code be do the trick?

Hi,

Tier pricing currently isn’t available, though I am sure it is something we will consider in the future.

Right now, the best I can suggest is contacting one of our recommended developers to create a custom plugin similar to the S2Integration but with the features you need.
