Hi,

I have searched around for an updated answer to this, but have not found one! Thanks in advance :)

Please give a specific process to remove single events from an already created series of events.

Hi Jesper,

By remove I assume you mean delete?

If so, just delete the event in the event overview page.

If however you mean to separate a single event from the recurring event list but keep it as an active event then it isn’t possible. The recurring events are synced, even duplicating an event keeps it within the recurring series. You would need to create a new event.

Hi Dean,

I do mean delete. Can you give me a step-by-step on how to do this? How to delete a single instance from a series? for example, if I have twenty instances of an event, on every Tuesday of the month, how do I delete the fourth instance only??
Step-by-step would be incredibly helpful. I have searched and searched throughout EE with no success.

Thank you.

Hi Jesper,

If you go to Event Espresso->Event Overview.

Find the event you wish the Delete.
Hover over the event title.
You should see something similar to http://d.pr/i/Mt6i
Press Delete.
A message will popup to confirm. Click OK.

This will Delete that specific event (not the entire series)

Event Espresso will then display that single event which has been deleted.
Click on Event Overview once again to go back to the full list of events.

*Note – When events are deleted through Event Espresso they are ‘soft deleted’ which means they are accessible via Event Overview by selecting the the status to Deleted and pressing filter status http://d.pr/i/ew9G

Just in case you ever delete an event and realize you want it back – do the above, select the event and change the Event Status (in the sidebar) to Public and update the event, the event will then be restored.

Please do post any other question you may have :)
