Hi everybody. Here is my issue:
I’m using Seating Chart AddOn and I don’t want to assign a price to the seats because my events already have tickets price, and there’s no price difference between seats. So I tried deleting the “Price” and “Price Members” columns from the excel file, but the price still remains and now it’s 0 €. Then I also tried deleting it from the registration_page_display.php, but when I checkout for the payment, it still shows 0 € even if the event costs 20 €.
In other words, I just don’t want a price for seats, because I already have tickets prices.
I created a sample event for you here: http://www.animaeventi.com/website/event-registration/?ee=1901

Please help, thanks in advance.

Hi Jacopo,

The seating chart price override the price set in the event editor. So in order to charge for tickets when you use the seating chart, you’ll need to assign prices to the seat. It’s okay if all the prices are the same.

Also, there have been some adjustments to the seating chart alpha’s latest release, but these are not compatible with Event Espresso 3.1.28.5. You’ll need to update to the latest version of update for the pricing to work as expected.

Hi Josh,
I already came to this conclusion by myself, but I can’t do a seat chart for each event…
I have hundreds of events in the same place but with different prices each. Also often an event can have multiple price choices which don’t vary by seat’s place but vary by other factors.
Now, are telling me that the EE last updating will fix my issue?

Hi there,

There were some pricing issues that were fixed in the last update. However, your idea to remove the price from seats in the seating chart isn’t something that was added in the last version. What you can do within the feature set of the current seating chart alpha is make duplicates of your existing seating chart and update the pricing for the new events accordingly. Then you can select the modified seating charts for the events that have different prices.
