I would like to have the default listing for my event NOT include the Price or the View Details button. Instead, I would like it to simply show the event description, the date and an “Add to Cart” button rather than the “View Cart” button. I am new to Event Espresso and could use some step by step help with this issue. Thanks.

Actually EVEN better would be if I could just direct users directly to the Cart and skip the Event Description page all together. I would prefer to create my own Event description page and send users directly to the Cart to choose their options, Enter Attendee Info and check out. Is that possible?

Hi Kevin,

You can set up something similar to what you have described. Here is a demo:

http://staging.eventespresso.com/testdrive/?ee=32718

The following shortcode has been added to the event’s description area:

[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”32718″ direct_to_cart=1 moving_to_cart=”Redirecting to cart…”]

Display description is set to yes and display registration form is set to no.

The shortcode above can also be added to a WordPress page or post: http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#add-to-cart
