I do not want the price to display and found this answer to how to remove it:

This can be hidden with CSS. Add the following to your theme’s custom stylesheet, or use the my custom CSS plugin to create one:
/* hide the event price in the event list */
p.event_price {display:none;}

/* hide the event price in the registration form */
p.event_prices {display:none;}

My question is where to add this in the stylesheet?
Apologise for my ignorance, but I have absolutely no clue as to how to do this.
Does it matter where I put it in the stylesheet? I cannot find anything that is related to event espresso…

Hi,

Generally it would go at the bottom of the themes style.css file.

A better alternative may be to install the My Custom CSS plugin, and add the CSS to that. That will ensure that theme updates will not remove the CSS.
