Very good product, first of all. This question was asked before in 2011, but is there a way to automatically remove events “at capacity” or “sold out” from the calendar? (http://staging.eventespresso.com/forums/2011/11/hide-events-from-calendar-that-are-at-max-attendance/)

More specifically, is there a way to check if the number of attendees = the max number of allowed attendees, and either categorize the event as expired, or add a css class to the event so that full events can be styled in the calendar?

I am using EE 3.1.28.5

Thanks! Great product!

Hi Melody,

It’s possible to do, but it’s not recommended. The reason being is it would add more database queries to run through and would dramatically slow down the calendar loading time (possibly even cause the calendar to not load up at all if there are a fair number of events on an average server).

So for that reason, we haven’t developed a check for number of attendees to the calendar, and it would be a one-off custom development job to have this done. If you’re interested in having this done, we have set up a job board that can be posted to:
http://jobs.eventespresso.com/

and when we have the availability, we can do some custom work:
