I would like to send an automated reminder email 1 day before the event that someone has registered for. I have read another forum post here regarding mailchimp add-on, but I don’t think this is viable for me as we have up to 22 individual events each month, with up to 25 people at each event – so manually managing this would be a nightmare. ‘Events'(training sessions) are free to users who are subscribed, so I cant link anything to payments or a payment gateway. Basically if I know that session ‘X’ on day ‘Y’ has 18 registered people, I want the same reminder email to go to these 18 people, 24 hours prior to the event ‘start time’ that is in the EE system. Do you have any ideas/options or functionality for this? Thanks!

Event Espresso does not have an auto email feature. This is probably something that could be custom developed, where a plugin developer could re-use the built in Event Espresso email all attendees function and set it to send a message from a template using a cron job.

This is eventually something we would like to develop (and probably will down the road). If you’re interesting in helping us make it happen check out our sponsor a feature page: http://staging.eventespresso.com/rich-features/sponsor-new-features/

Thanks Garth,
Would the listing there already be the one that could cover what I am asking for?:
Automated Emails
Schedule when you want emails sent to attendees either on a specific day or according to a schedule or formula (e.g. 2 weeks before the event, 1 day after registration closes, etc.). This would further automate your event registration and management processes.”
