September 17, 2013 at 12:21 pm I’m working with a non-profit that is holding a walk-athon fundraiser in November. We need to have registration for the event which obviously you all cover well. What I’m trying to determine is the ability to add some “extras” to a registrants shopping cart before they pay. Like Tshirts with sizing options, raffle tickets, and additional donations they desire to give to the ministry. I saw someone ask a similar question in your forum months ago and they were told there was an add-on in Beta Testing that could potentially accomplish something similar. Is that add-on still in beta? Is it available? Which EE plan would I need to accomplish what I’m looking for? Thanks in advance for your help! | |
Hi Matt, Event Espresso doesn’t have a standard function for that. However, one of our developers has build a price-modifier add-on that allows you to use the questions system increase or decrease the total price of an event based on their answer to a question. This is available for free right now as a download in the Pre-release Channel (http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/pre-release-channel-guide/). In Event Espresso 4 the ticket system will be significantly different so they will have the option to add additional things to their registration. Does that help? | |

Hi Matt, We’ve not been good at estimating our release date for Event Espresso 4 so I don’t want to officially comment right now. We have a few unknowns right now so I hope I can make a more official announcement fairly soon. | |

Hi Leslie, Selling merchandise is not currently included in Event Espresso, but it is one of our long term goals to add this functionality. However, some event managers may be able to accomplish something similar to what you are looking for by using the ticket editor in Event Espresso 4 (screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/qvaEm0Rw).
