Been scouring the forums here and trying everything recommended users of our site are still seeing the “Sorry, there was a security error and your registration was not saved” when registering at http://www.stellamarisinc.com/news-activities/events/?ee=21221
Here’s what we’ve tried thus far:
– templates folder renamed
– WP Super Cache plugin disabled
– all plugins disabled
– enabled logging (useless – no error shown there)
The only time registration appears to work is when I’m signed in to the WordPress admin.

Hi,
9 times out of 10 this is due to caching, I notice you mention you disabled W3 Total Cache but disabling the plugin does not remove the cache. Have you ‘Purged the cache’ using the options within W3 Super Cache?
Disable the Caching, update the settings, then delete the cache. http://d.pr/i/ua1o
If that fixes it we can guide through how to exclude Event Espresso pages from caching.

Aha, thanks so much Tony! I re-enabled WP Super Cache, deleted the cache, the disabled it and all appears well with our registration.

Hi there,
What you will need to do in order to prevent the error from happening again is add your events page to the WP-super-cache do not cache list. You can add these by going into WP-Super-Cache Advanced settings and look for the text area box that has this message above it:
Add here strings (not a filename) that forces a page not to be cached.
Then add:
events
thank-you
transactions
then click the “Save Strings” button that’s below the box.
