Registering for an event from a mobile device?

Is there a way, now or coming soon, to create event registration pages that are easy to use from mobile devices? If there is a way to get Event Espresso to build the small screens that phones need, I have missed it and would appreciate a pointer. We have a business license, if that is a factor.

The first step would be to use a WordPress theme that is designed to be mobile first, or even responsive.

There are also plugins that will convert standard WordPress pages into a more mobile friendly design.
