I created an event with multiple dates/times. I am trying to have it listed as one event with a dropdown to choose date/time option. What am I missing? http://www.eventbuyz.com http://eventbuyz.com/my-events/?ee=22

Hi there,

It looks like you’re missing the Recurring Events Dropdown add-on. Alternatively, you can copy the event list templates that are bundled in with the Event Espresso Recurring Events add-on. Those get copied over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates.

So how/where do I add the [EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=”recurring-dropdown”]?

You create a new WordPress page and add it there.

You’re missing the page to display a recurring events with the dropdown. We typically do not include this when we install Event Espresso.

So how does one do this?

Here are the steps:

1) Install the Custom Templates Add-on and the Recurring Events Dropdown plugins.

2) You can click Pages » Add New in your dashboard to add a new page.

3) You’ll want to give this new page a name.

4) You can copy and paste the following into the page’s content box:

[EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW template_name=”recurring-dropdown”]

5) The page can then be published, saved as a draft, or even previewed by clicking one of the buttons in the “Publish” box.

OK. Almost there. 1 more question. What is the code to do a recurring events dropdown and limit to a single venue? Thanks

I checked on this and it turns out there isn’t a shortcode parameter that limits the display of the events from one venue. It can limit by category with either the event_category_id or the category_identifier parameter. Which could be used as a workaround by assigning the events from that one venue to a specific category.
