I’m doing an implementation for a theatre company, with events that recur at irregular intervals. By that I mean there might be performances friday night, saturday afternoon and saturday evening. Or any other configuration. It’s important for us to manage them as on event, and for them to be presented that way on the front-end.

Is this logic supported by Event Espresso?

Thanks

Hi Marty,

So what you’re saying is that there is one event that is performed over several days at different times of the day?
Or are these separate performances of the play?

Hi Dean,

More the second thing — separate performances.

Hi,

Well that is something Event Espresso can handle. These can either be set up manually as individual events or we have the Recurring Event Manager – this can allow you to automatically create duplicate events for set logic.

At all times an event is created for each one, making managing easier.

I think though that because your events are perhaps extremely irregular, setting up the events manually (though you can duplicate them for ease) may be the best way forward.

Have you test driven Event Espresso? http://staging.eventespresso.com/download/test-drive-event-espresso/

Hi Dean,

No, I’m sorry, that will not do. I’m looking specifically for a solution in which the multiple dates are described by a single record — not separate records. This is an essential element of the site’s design brief. Sounds like Event Espresso is not the right solution for this project.
