We just bought and installed the Recurring Dropdown Template plugin and have used it on a page but only “Register” is showing for a recurring event that has many dates. We have the business license for this site and have recurring events and custom templates addons installed.

Shortcode being used:
[EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW event_category_id=”fundraiser-1394132019″ template_name=”recurring-dropdown”]

Is there a setting somewhere that has to be adjusted?
Any assistance appreciated.

Hi Anthony,

There should not be any settings that need to be adjusted.

Can you link us to the page with the shortcode mentioned above please?

The site is under development and requires a userid and password to get in – or have your IP address preset in the environment. Is there a way to send you info in private message? or send me your IP address in a private message?

Hi Anthony,

If you go to your /event-list/ page you can see the template working there.

As you are limiting the shortcode to use a specific category (fundraiser-1394132019) I suspect you have not added all the events within the recurring series to this category. You’ll need to do this in order for the dropdown to work as expected.

The Custom Template Add-on loads the events using the shortcode parameters provided and then calls the template specified, which in this case is the Recurring Dropdown Template. This template then checks to see if the events are in a ‘recurring series’, if so it groups them together and displays only the dates. If the above is correct then only 1 event is loading and so the template can only display that single event.

Does that make sense?

Yes, you were correct.

Now there is a display problem on the detail page after selecting one of these events – only since this plugin was installed – was working fine before.

Hi Anthony,

The [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode has been wrapped within Pre tags.

Edit the Page, switch the Editor to Text mode and removed the opening and closing Pre tag from around the shortcode, then Update the page.
