After registering for an event, paying via paypal sandbox and redirecting back to my site I’m receiving several duplicate Payment Received and Registration Confirmation emails. I’ve read a couple threads about this problem and have checked the following:
1. Send payment confirmation emails? Yes
2. Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received? No
3. All required pages are set to public (Registration, Thank You, Cancelled, Transactions)
I’m using WP ver. 3.5.1 and EE 3.1.33.3.P with User Permissions and Roles (basic) add-on. Just short of using an smtp plugin ordebugging, I’m lost.
Yes, I’m using fancy email headers. After reading the article you sent me I’m having trouble finding where to download the mentioned “EE Email Transactions plugin by Event Espresso”.
Ok, I was able to find the add-on by “opting in” to using pre-release add-ons http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/pre-release-channel-guide/ . Also, I agreed to the terms and received a confirmation email. Then another. And another. I suspect my duplicate email problem to be rooted deeper than just my install.
As a follow up to the original issue posted here: Having the site set to maintenance mode can cause the issue with the duplication confirmation emails. You can try testing a PayPal payment with the site’s maintenance mode turned off.
