I use the More Tag (read more) separator in event description to allow for only a short segment to display on the event list, and if people click register or on the title it will take them to the event page.

But the more tag doesn’t create an actual read more button like in articles, which makes a lot more sense for people to click on to find out more details about the event.

Is there a way to have it show that?

Look in event_list_display.php for the comment that says //Show short descriptions

Add a read more link right after the description like this:

<p><?php echo espresso_format_content($event_desc); ?><a href="<?php echo $registration_url; ?>">Read more&rarr;</a></p>
