Hello, I have a simple question, I think…

I deleted the EE plugin about 6 months ago and now am ready to start working with it again. If I download the plugin and reinstall will it screw up my database? I noticed when I went to back up my database there are still some event_ files in there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would hate to crash my site. 8 )

Hi Rachel,

You should not have any issues. There have been some issues in the past but this would only effect the Event Espresso plugin itself and would just mean that the plugin would need to be updated manually rather than through our one click upgrades.

However, I would recommend performing a Full Backup of your site (files and database) just be safe. We have a guide posted here:

This is actually recommended before performing ANY updates on any plugins/themes etc, but most people ignore it. Creating backups such as these are your best defense against conflicts/issues as you can always restore a backup and work on fixing the issue.
