Hi,

First off, thanks for the great support. You’ve been really responsive.

I have a question group with a list of 3 required questions for the primary registrant. I see them on the frontend reg form. But when the registration form is processed, in the back end on the individual registration, the form answers are not appearing. Any ideas why?

THe link below takes you to the ticket selector for the event in question. The question group not showing is “2nd Company Registrant”. The other question group answers are appearing in the backend.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

The questions within that group, are they assigned to another question group also?

From within the Registration is the question group displayed but with just blank fields?

Hi Tony,

From within the registration the question group is not displayed – no fields shown.

One of the questions in the group is also assigned to another group.

Hi Alex,

We have a known issue when questions are within multiple groups. The developers are working on this issue and as such I’d like to confirm if this is the same issue/related.

Could you remove the question that is also within another group from the ‘2nd Company Registrant’ group and see if the other 2 questions then display within the registration. (I’m assuming those questions are use solely within this group currently?)

I tried removing the question that is within another group, registered, and from within the registration in the backend I did not see the other questions in that group – field or answer.

Would it be possible for us to get temporary log-in details to take a look at how the event/questions are setup?

If so please send via https://staging.eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Tony,

I just sent login details through the form.

Hi Alex,

As mentioned we have a known issue with EE4 when assigning the same questions to multiple groups. The groups ‘2nd Company Registrant’ & ‘2nd Sponsor Registrant’ have the same questions assigned to them which is causing this issue.

To test open up one of the registrations. You’ll see the question group is not there.

In a new tab edit the group ‘2nd Sponsor Registrant’, un-tick the questions within that group and save.

Then refresh the other tab with the registration. You’ll see the group now appears.

Basically if any question is within more than 1 group it will effect the display on the registrations currently. The questions/answer are stored, just not displayed.

Understood, so as a solution, do I then need to rename my questions so they are all unique?

Unfortunately simply re-naming the questions will not work, each question group would need the questions within to be unique questions.

So if ’2nd Company Registrant’ & ’2nd Sponsor Registrant’ both contain ‘Name’ you will need 2 Name questions, assigning one each to each each group.

The problem here is that if your attendees have already answered these questions and you change it (although the question may have the same name, it will be a different question ID, therefor a different question) you will not have the previous answers for that question.
