I just updated to Event Espresso is 3.1.34.1.P and WP 3.6 today. Now our promotional codes are not working. We have all EE add-ons installed except JSON API and Groupon. I have deactivated roles and permissions with not impact on the issue. Please advise. Website: http://www.pfdcevents.com

Hi Michael,

It looks like you may have outdated template files in the wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory. You can test this by clicking the “Rename Templates Directory” button in Event Espresso > Template Settings. This can be undone via FTP if there is a problem.

You can start with fresh templates from the newer version. If you have made modifications to the earlier version’s templates, you can copy the modifications into the newer version’s templates. When you’re finished, you can copy the modified files into /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates.

If you haven’t made any customizations, and you’re simply trying to update to the new version of Event Espresso, you can remove the templates from /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates using FTP or your host’s control panel file manager.
Please see this article in the documentation for more info:

Thank you. I updated the core templates. I had some mods and I think I got those done. However, now the promo code field is completely gone (in single event and multi-event registrations). I checked the code in the shopping cart and that is correct. Not sure where to go now. Please advise.

Hi Michael,

Can you go to the General Setting and make sure the option “Display discounts in the cart” is set to “Yes”, please?

Thank you! That solved it! I spent about 4 hours until 2:30 am going through every setting and missed it every time! Word to the wise: If you don’t find the solution by midnight, send a message to support and go to bed!
Thanks! You guys still rock!
