I have a client that has 2 users. They are both set up with the same authority (Espresso Master Admin), yet they find that when one of them creates a new promotional code, the other cannot see or make that promo code available for their events. It seems that only the promo codes that the user herself creates can be used in her events.

Does this make sense?

Hi Greg,

This is actually a feature of the Roles and Permissions add-on. Promo codes created by one user account can only be used by that user.

So… if they need to manage the site and be able to update each others events and use promotional codes site wide, but I don’t want them to have the regular WordPress Administrator role… what is the solution?

Is this reasonable? Is it possible?

Hi Greg,

It’s possible to set something like this up. The roles and permissions add-on isn’t the solution in this case though.

One way to do this would be assign them WP admin roles, then remove the capabilities and menu access that you don’t want them to have from their specific user accout by using a plugin like Advanced Access Manager.
