Event Espresso is a great product but I am surprised at the functionality of the promo codes….
1. why cant you have promocodes that work with every event automatically? with as many events as we have and as many reps as we have it is a serious pain to go in and enable them for every event manually.
2. why cant i set a promocode to deactivate after one use?
on a side note we need the ability to sell gift certificates. and have since utilized woocommerce by selling promocodes to do so. but naturally there are issues with this method.
are there any plans in the near future for these functionalities?
WordPress 3.7.1
Event Espresso Version 3.1.35.2.P
Event Espresso – Calendar Version 2.0.6.3
Event Espresso – Social Media Version 1.1.5.1
Event Espresso – SSL/HTTPS Version 1.0
Event Espresso API Plugin Version 2.0.2.p
1) This is partially coming in Event Espresso 3.1.36, with our new global promo codes. This will allow you to just select a single option in the event to use all global codes, so if you have a lot of different codes there will be no more having to tick each one.
2) We just haven’t added that feature yet. I will add you +1 to the feature request.
Gift certificates have been requested in the past, and is something we are considering but nothing has been decided, we are quite busy getting 4.0 out the door currently.
