| February 17, 2013 at 6:30 am I am trying to set up registration for a 3-day convention, with many classes and several social events people can register for. Do I need to purchase the multiple event plugin? The reason I ask is that it almost sounded like this plugin was for unrelated events. For example, registration for a convention, and then a separate workshop that takes place 3 months later. |

| February 18, 2013 at 12:24 am Hi Carla, The Multiple Event Registration (MER) plugin is basically for a Cart feature. As such it will allow you to add numerous events to the cart for purchase in one go rather than registering and paying for each event individually. In your case, I am assuming the overall event is paid for and the sub events are free? If so currently the way Event Espresso works means you would have to set it up differently. If this is a one off convention then perhaps you could set up a membership type system where the user joins (and pays) and then can get sign up to the sub events for free using the standard registration system or MER. We are hoping that in version 3.2+ we will have a better system for parent-child events like this. |
