Hi

I have a couple of questions before i sign up for event espresso. I realize my questions below might require some custom work but I would really appreciate your thoughts on if it is at all possible to achieve this.

1 Chained Payments: I want to sell appointments/events for other organizers. The organiser will log into my site and create an appoitment/event. When someone registers and pays I want to divide the payment between me and the organizer. I get a certain amount and the rest ends up at the organizers paypal accout.I guess it is like paypals “chained payments”. Is that possible with EE 3.2?

2: On my landing page I want to have a filtering option for showing events, (date, city, category, name). The results are only loaded when the user clicks “show available times” but without going to a new page. I want the results to load while staying on the landing page. Is this possible?

3 Gift Cards: I want to sell gift cards for events by using the promo code function. A user would pay an amount (The full amount for an event. All events have the same price), then they get a code that is only valid for use once and gives them 100% off on any event. They can then give this promo code as a gift to someone.

thank you for your help
Theodor

HI Theodor

  1. Split payments will have to be handled manually after the transaction is complete. Event Espresso doesn’t have a split payment function. All the payments are sent to the account setup by the website admin. I’ll investigate if this will be developed into 3.2, but I don’t think it will be real quickly….but we’ll see. This function will take a lot of re-writing of Event Espresso.
  2. We do have a search function that searches the titles of the events, but it’s just a simple search box. http://staging.eventespresso.com/testdrive/event-search/ We do have additional searching/filtering functions planned for 3.2 or 3.3
  3. You can put a discount code in the confirmation email, but the system can’t automatically create one and assign it to all events, so I would create a general discount code and then apply it to all your events. Then replace that code every so often so people don’t re-use it more than once. Does that make sense?

Let me know if I can do anything else for you.
