I’m creating an event registration for a Triathlon. All registrants are required to have an official Triathlon number from the national association.

If they have one already, they need to enter it to complete registration (simple), but if they don’t have one, they need to pay to be assigned one as part of the registration.

To put it another way: if they have a triathlon number, they pay x, if they don’t have one, they pay y (the cost of the event + the cost of the number assignment).

Is there a simple way to do this?

Hi David,

The simple way to do this would be to use the multiple pricing feature. This way you can add a second price type and label it as something like: “Registration – includes number assignment”.

Thanks Josh. That’s a good solution.
