Not sure if this is a bug or not. I am experiencing the following oddities with new events… all of them have workarounds.

1) My site’s timezone is set for Chicago. If I create an event and set a date and time, all is well and the event is represented just fine. If, however, I make a change to the description of the event and update the page, the time of the event changes to be about a 4 or 5 hour offset, which remains on the event. For example: I can setup an event to start at 4 PM. When I publish the event the events pages show the event as starting at 4 PM. However if I make a change to the description of the event and hit update, the time on the event changes to 11 am. If I modify the time of the event and reset it to 4 PM, it reverts back to 11 am when I hit update. If however I modify the time to 9 PM and hit update, the time for the event changes to 4 PM. My workaround is to set my events for a 4 hour offset. They then display correctly on the site. It seems as if this is timezone related somehow.

2) If I add an image file from URL into the description for the event, the “Ticket Options” section of the page does not appear on the event page.
If I go to the main events listing http://www.msff.org/events I see the event with the image and the Ticket Options section of the page. If I go to the specific page
http://www.msff.org/events/<event name>, there is not Ticket Options section of the page. If I remove the Image from the post, the Ticket Options section appears in both the /events/ and the /events/event name sections of the site. Workaround is just to not use images in the event page for the time being and everything works fine.

Thank you.

Hello,

An offset should not be needed if you have selected a timezone in WordPress General Settings.

Do you have any other plugins running that have any date settings?

I could not duplicate the image/missing ticket selector issue on a test site. What happens if you use an existing image from the Media Library?

Does it still disappear?

Just an update, I will investigate these options and get feedback to you as soon as I can.

Sorry for the delay in my updates, as my isp had my some issues.
I did some further testing on my end and here is what I found.

1) the timezone issue does go away when I remove all my plugins. Enabling them one at a time, it returns as soon as I activate a plugin called
amr-ical-events-list (free)
located at
http://icalevents.com/

There is not a timezone setting in the config section of this plugin.

2) the issue with the image/ticket selector was tried with an existing image from the media library with the same result, the the Add from URL does not seem to matter.
