Personal Information Fields Disappeared

    Hello,

    This plug-in has been working great up until this week. Somehow, the Personal Information fields have gone missing on our registration form. After hours of research, I have been unable to find a solution. I hope someone can help me.

    I have not run any updates to WordPress or Event Espresso, and as far as I can tell, nothing related to the Personal Information fields was changed. Prior to noticing the missing fields, I did make a change to extend our Early Registration by a couple weeks. I don’t think this is related, but sometimes you never know.

    I noticed the issue after receiving some new attendees that have their Personal Information missing. These are supposed to be required fields that no longer appear. Again, everything was working perfectly until after I made a (seemingly) unrelated change.

    Can anyone please help? Similar threads/solutions on this forum do not address the exact issue I am having.

      Hi Jeremy,

      Which version of Event Espresso is installed? Is the Roles and Permissions add-on also installed? There was a bug in the earlier version of Roles and Permissions that was fixed in the last update that could cause this to happen, but was fixed in a later version.

      You can download the latest version of Event Espresso and the Roles and Permissions add-on from your account page.

        Hi Josh,

        Thanks for the quick response!

        I have EE version 3.1.25.P installed on WordPress 3.3.1.

        I have a ‘Permissions’ add-on installed/enabled, but not ‘Roles’. I assume they are the same package.

        Do you recommend updating as the solution? Everything was working fine up until Monday this week.

        How will this affect my existing registration page?

        I’d hate to lose my attendees list. Will I have to import/export?

          I should add that the Permissions add-on is version 1.5.1.

          Hi Jeremy,

          It is odd that this just suddenly occurred with no changes, the only time we have seen this occur was after a website changed server.

          We do recommend updating to the latest version of EE (3.1.29) and WordPress (3.4.2 though 3.5 is due soon) to help keep bugs resolved from both pieces of software.

          Your attendee list is in the database so it should not be affected, but you should always back up your database prior to updating especially with such a large gap between versions.

          If you choose to update then please be aware that any modifications done to your EE templates will need to be redone with the new template files, and of course back up your database first!

            I’d prefer to not update WordPress for now, due to conflicts with other plugins. I will attempt to update EE to the latest version and will report my results here.

              I see that there are several components to EE. Will I need to update each plug-in separately?

              Here are all the plug-ins that are currently in use:
              Event Espresso
              Event Espresso – Members Addon
              Event Espresso – Multi Event Registration
              Event Espresso – Permissions
              Event Espresso – Recurring Events

              Yes updating the core EE plugin and its add on plugins is advisable.
