I’m trying to install the calendar plugin. I’ve installed Permissions and calendar but whenever I click on settings for either, I get the message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
Also, whenever I activate the calendar plugin, my widgets page goes all funky. Most of my widgets disappear, the entire right side of the page goes blank and I can’t do anything on the page.
Is there any reason that you need to the Permissions add-on? If not, it can be deactivated.
Is that the Widget manager page, or a page on the front end? You could try temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme to see if that makes a difference.
Are you logged in as an Administrator, or as an Event Manager? Try deactivating the permissions add-on and activate the calendar, and then visit the widgets screen.
OK, I thought I needed permissions. But even without having permissions activated or even added I still get the same message, that was why I added that plugin. It’s only when I activate calendar that the Widgets page gets like that. It’s the widget manager in the dashboard that get’s all funky. (Appearance –> Widgets)
I installed Theme Test Drive and activated Twenty Twleve. Nothing has changed. I still can’t access the settings for the calendar and the widgets page is still funky.
Normally the Calendar add-on does not change the widget page. Since you ruled out the theme, can you check to see if there’s another plugin in the mix that could be involved?
