Hi, after my client confirming that they don’t have the Paypal Pro account, I am now trying to get the Standard setting back up and running in Sandbox. I managed to run many successful test payments through the sandbox yesterday for Standard. However, I have cleared the details in pro, and deactivated it, and reactivated standard.
The error I am getting is here – http://screencast.com/t/hA6q8ZadZC
Any ideas on what I need to do please?
Thanks.

I just tested it and it worked fine. You might want to try creating a different buyer account in sandbox. It may be seeing it as a duplicate transaction.

Thanks Sidney,
I’ve just created another buyer account, and I’ve got the same error – http://screencast.com/t/79KSO7kKrU3

Does the email address for the buyer have to match with anything? something@something.com

Or is it something else?

Does the buyer account have (fake) money loaded onto it?

Yes, it has a £1000.00 loaded into the fake buyer account.

Just to add a bit more to what I’m experiencing in testing.

Both emails are coming through as a successful transaction, and the money is being deducted from the Sandbox account. After he paypal error, the return to merchant is taking me to the cancellation page.

I have an SSL certificate in place, and the relevant EE pages have a forced SSL applied, but I do not have force HTTPS ticked on the paypal settings.

Any ideas?

I have also just wiped down all previous payments to clear the attendee lists, and rebooted my browser, but I’m still getting the same issue.

Hi bbradley,

Just to add we’ve been noticing issues with Paypal Sandbox today during some testing. It appears they may be having issues currently.

Thanks Tony.

Would you resort to some £0.01 live transactions to deliver?

Thanks.

Sounds like a good idea. It seems like a problem with the sandbox buyer account, because I did a transaction with my sandbox buyer account, and everything went smoothly.
