    Hi guys,

Saw lots of posts regarding using paypal and the return thank you url. Thought I read them all, however I’m not getting any satisfaction yet. I have my paypal set to return to http://showareshootout.com/index.php/thank-you-2/ however paypal is sending it to

    http://showareshootout.com/?page_id=6&r_id=1%2d5352003d993ae&type=paypal&tx=45090657RD916850K&st=Completed&amt=65%2e00&cc=USD&cm=&item_number=

I’ve checked my paypal settings and my event settings. Could use some guidance as I’m getting fried today.

    Thanks,
    Rob

      Hi there Rob,

There are two settings for PayPal.

The IPN setting should be set you your transactions page for Event Espresso. This is typically:

      example.com/transactions/

You can confirm by going to WordPress admin –> Event Espresso –> General Settings. While you are checking this setting, please ensure that all four WordPress pages have the correct shortcode setup and that they are published (not set to private).

The auto return URL can be set to:

      example.com/thank-you/

Again, you can confirm this by checking the General Settings page for Event Espresso.

The IPN page is used to update the order information in Event Espresso and the thank you page is used to show the order confirmation after a successful payment.

Also, I noticed that some of the URLs that you shared had an index.php in them. I see this with Windows IIS. If you have the opportunity, then I recommend switching to an Apache or Nginx based server:
