Hello,

We are using PayPal IPN. The payment goes through and the user receives a receipt from PayPal via email but when they are redirected to the website they receive a browser error that the site could not be reached and they are unable to finish registration.

Even though they pay through PayPal they are not added to the list of attendees on EE.

I have linked the IPN to the EE page with this shortcode: [ESPRESSO_TXN_PAGE]

Should I be using another? (Possibly the page with this shortcode: [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS])

I am using:
Event Espresso version 3.1.30.5P
WordPress version WP 3.5.1

Hi there,

Can you post a link to the registration page so I can investigate further?

Hi there,

Are you aware of this error that keeps popping up?

Hi there,

From looking through the registration process, it looks like the Return page (that takes you back to your site after paying at PayPal) is set to load as https. This is not going to work unless your domain has an SSL certification installed, which it doesn’t. You can fix this by unchecking the Force HTTPS on Return URL setting in the Event Espresso>Payment settings>PayPal settings.

Please see the important note (in the pink box) in the Event Espresso PayPal IPN set up documentation for more info:

Did you see the other post about unchecking the Force SSL option for the return payment page?
