I have setup the events that if a payment is not completed for the registration to be shown as pending , but i have noticed the following.
You register to the event on the website and then when you choose the paypal method to pay it redirects you to the payment page of paypal , but lets say you dont actual proceed with the payment , then in this event registration changes to confirmed !!!!!
I am not seeing this on my test installations. Basically only if the paypal payment comes back to the thank you page and confirms payment is successful is the status updated to complete.
If the payment is cancelled, for example by pressing the cancel link at PayPal, the user is returned to the Cancelled page and the status is not updated.
In your tests, when payment was cancelled, was the user returned to the cancellation page?
I’m not able to reproduce this. No matter how I abandon PayPal it says the status is pending. There may be a plugin conflict or you could try updating to the latest version of Event Espresso if you haven’t already done so. Also- you might check in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/ for any payment page templates or gateway files from a prior version there.
