When I use PayPal to register for an event, it deletes the previous attendee data, instead of creating a new entry. So there is always only one attendee entry, instead of multiple as there should be. I am using WordPress 3.8 and EE 3.1.36.2.P. I really don’t know where to start with this issue, which is why I am starting a forum topic. Any ideas?

Hi Andy,

Usually this happens when the Session is not closed. Once a user has been directed to Paypal and payment made the session should then have been closed.

Can you go to Event Espresso -> System Status.
Look under Registration Pages.
Are all the URL’s green?

Do you have any custom gateways within wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways?

First I would recommend backing up the site (both all the files and DB) and then updating Event Espresso.

We have a guide posted on how to backup your site, available here:

http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/

Once you have a backup you can then update Event Espresso, your license key currently has not been applied to your site and therefor automatic updates will not work currently. If you go to your Account page (top right of this page – click ‘Account’) you will find your License key, copy the key that does NOT have _FREE on the end.

Then go to the wp admin (Dashboard) on your sit. Event Espresso -> General Settings. You’ll find the ‘Site License Key’ field, paste the key you copied into there and click Save Options.

Event Espresso can then be automatically updated through your Plugins page.
