Hi
Our Payments are being processed vi Paypal fine and the thank you page is displaying through the browsers (Mozilla, IE, Chrome, Safari) and OS (Mac OSX, Windows8,7, Vista ) when we’ve tested but some people are not coming back to the Thank You page or are and are then immediately taken back to Paypal as if payment hasn’t been processed, when it has.

In quite a few instances ( 8 in the last week) they’ve then paid again. We’ve issued refunds and put a warning on the ‘Booking’ page to only pay once and await email confirmation but is this a known issue? Is it a setting that can be turned off as we really don’t want to have to keep dealing with people overpaying?

Hi Matt,

Do you have the Bypass Payment Overview Page setting set to yes in the Payment Settings > PayPal settings?

If so it sounds to me like the payment is coming back as incomplete (PayPal’s IPN can be slow sometimes) and therefore it is redirecting them back to PayPal.

You could try turning that off and see if that resolves the issue.

Hi Dean, Thanks

The Bypass setting is to ‘yes’, that’s kind of how we want it to take out a layer of the cart process prior to payment otherwise there are two ‘confirmation/summary’ pages before customers click to pay. The payments completes in Paypal ok but for some reason occasionally don’t come back to the site properly.

So I’ve actually changed the return page setting in PayPal to come to ‘URL/thank-you/’ and for us it’s behaving correctly. I guess we’ll see when customers use it.
