We’re using PayPal Payments Pro. I’ve noticed that if the user puts spaces in their credit card number it won’t work. Is there a way that:

a) I can fix it so it will work?
b) I can add a note that they shouldn’t use spaces?

Hi,

a) Would require a code edit on the core files to basically strip the spaces from the credit card number

b) Editing your language file via a program like PoEdit would work here. I searched for Card Number and translated it to Card Number (no spaces!)

I will add this to our feature request list.

Which file to I need to edit to change the language?

event-espresso/languages/event_espresso-en_US.po is for the American English file.

Changes to the file (for now) will be overwritten on update so please keep a copy of the file saved locally to refer to.

I tried doing this and translating the terms but they don’t appear on my payment page. I don’t think it’s a caching issue.

I looked in more detail at this and it appears they arent translating, I will need to discuss this more internally as to why.

You can go to event-espresso/gateways/paypal_pro/paypal_pro_vars.php and edit it directly there. The file can be copied to your uploads/espresso/gateways/paypal_pro directory.
