I am running the Website and it seems to be working fine using PayPal. I am able to process transactions, and they go through without error. Emails are sent as required and the IPN transmits to the attendees to show that the tickets have been purchased. However, when the customers return from PayPal to the Thank you page, it shows the [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS ] short code and nothing else.

I’ve tried disabling plugins but I always get the same error.

Any help?!

Thank you
Site is at https://www.shanahan4da.com/event-tickets/ and the problem page is https://www.shanahan4da.com/event-tickets/thank-you/

I DO have a SSL certificate on the domain name so I am not sure why it isn’t working.
Thank you

Hi Evan,

Can you check the General Settings to make sure that the Thank You page has been allocated correctly? These are default settings http://d.pr/i/J5Lj

If you have change the page name where the shortcode is your page names on the settings may differ. The important thing is that the page with the shortcode is allocated here.

All of the pages with the shortcodes are properly allocated in the General Settings and have been since initial setup. I did change the names of the pages, but that is all. And then I made sure the general settings were pointing to the correct place. That is setup properly.

Hi Evan,

Is it possible for us to take a look around and investigate this further?

If so could you send log-in details using http://staging.eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Please note login needs to be admin level.

The Payment page setting in Event Espresso>General Settings>Page setting may be pointing to this similarly named page instead:

http://www.shanahan4da.com/contribute/thank-you/

My payments page is set up properly and pointing to the correct Payments page. I will send admin login information to you now so you can take a look around and fix that.

I think I can see the logic error in the code that is causing the problem. We’ll work on getting it sorted out and fixed, but in the meantime there is a quick and dirty fix (if I’m right about the error). The basic problem is that there are two pages that have “thank-you” as part of their permalink. If you rename one of them, then it should clear up the problem.
I’ll get to work trying to reproduce the problem, then work out a code fix, then submit the fix for inclusion in an update.

You are correct about the error. When I changed the page slug so that it wasn’t /thank-you/ it was fine and showing up blank when I go there on its own. (as it should, correct?) I believe it is working with that correction.

Hi,

That’s right it will be blank. Glad that it is working for you now!
