On our site http://cnmc.sqpn.com we run Event Espresso to sign up people for our conference. Our website is updated to the newest version of WordPress 3.5.1 and we run Event Espresso Business Licence version 3.1.33 and mailchimp integration v. 1.0.4. Everything runs on a new installation.
People who want to finalize their payment, are sent to http://cnmc.sqpn.com/thank-you/?r_id=1-51b650943b4e8 for example. That page doesn’t show their payment options. Instead, it only shows [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS] typed out, instead of the code this shortcode should parse. As a result of this, they cannot finalize their payment and are forced to re-register. The link displayed in invoices sent isn’t working.
In General Settings,
Send registration confirmation emails before payment is received? is set to ‘no’
Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page? is set to ‘yes’
We’re at a loss on how to solve it, according to other Google topics, all the settings are set correctly, yet the plugin doesn’t allow returning registrees to access the update payment page.
Can you go into Event Espresso>General Settings, look under Page settings, and verify that the Auto Return URL (Thank You and Return Payment page) setting is pointing to the Thank You page?
Thank you for checking on that and getting back so quickly. Can you try creating a new page, you could name it something like “Payments”, then place the [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS] shortcode on it. Then you can go into Event Espresso>General settings and change the Auto Return URL (Thank You and Return Payment page) setting to point to your new payments page.
After doing this, you can go to WP>Settings>Permalinks and this will refresh the permalink rules.
Then you can try testing a payment using the new payments page.
