I have a site, where i setup event espresso for online tickets, payment modules are Paypal and Moneris. My problem is when testing the payment modules, the payment goes though, i get the payment receipt from paypal and moneris, but it doesn’t show on event espresso that the user paid.

How can i fix this issue?

Please advise.

Hi there,

The Instant Payment notifications may not be set up in your PayPal and Moneris accounts.

Here is a link to the documentation on how to set up PayPal:

http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-set-up-paypal-ipn/

Moneris is set up in a similar way, except they call it the Response URL. Here is a screenshot that shows how to set this up in Moneris:

In addtion to the above, the approved and declined URLs should both point to the Thank you page on your website.

Hi Josh,

I tried what you said, but still not working.

Is there any other issue?

Please advise.

Can you let us know what steps were tried? It will help to know the URL’s of the transactions/notify URL and thank you pages.

i enabled the paypal ipn also signed in to the moneris account and plugged in the thank you pages.

The response URL should be set to the notify URL, not the thank you pages. On a brand new install of Event Espresso the notify URL will be the /transactions/ page.

Can you post a link to the transactions page on your website so we can investigate further?

There could be an issue with the type of server that the site is running on. We generally don’t test or support installations on Microsoft’s IIS server.

If you notice there is the /index.php/ in the URL, which is typical of the IIS server, I believe that’s the only way to get permalinks to work on those.
