Is there a way to have a list of radio buttons on the payment page (when choosing the means of payment) in place of the big buttons (Paypal etc.) ?

Thank you in advance,

B D

Hi B D,

I don’t think there is without doing a lot of refactoring of the code (possibly with JavaScript) that displays the payment options. The payment buttons are actually links that either open up a hidden division of the page when payment forms/information can be viewed or send the purchaser to a site like PayPal.com for payment.

Thank you. In this case is there no other way of having a list of links (whatever its form) in place of buttons?

Thank you in advance,

B D.

That can be done by modifying the gateway’s payment page display. For example, the stripe gateway has this to display its payment button:

<a id="stripe-payment-option-lnk" class="payment-option-lnk display-the-hidden" rel="stripe-payment-option-form" style="cursor:pointer;">
		<img alt="Pay using a Credit Card" src="<?php echo EVENT_ESPRESSO_PLUGINFULLURL; ?>gateways/pay-by-credit-card.png">
	</a>

The above is taken from stripe_vars.php starting on line 20

The image can be removed and replaced with text. Here is the above example with the image removed and replaced with a text link:

<a id="stripe-payment-option-lnk" class="payment-option-lnk display-the-hidden" rel="stripe-payment-option-form" style="cursor:pointer;">
Pay with your credit card via Stripe Payments
</a>

You can copy over your modified gateway to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways to prevent it from being overwritten on an update. Please note that the gateway will need to maintained manually if and when future versions of Event Espresso make changes to the stock gateway.

Thank you Josh for the clear explanation.
