We have 2 payment options, full payment and half payment, but when they go to checkout with PayPal, their cart just says “Tickets”. I cannot figure out how to customize this to show either “Full Payment” or “Half Payment”. Any ideas?

Hi Tyler,

At this time Event Espresso does not have Partial Payment or Depositing functionality. Either full payment is required, or you can send them an invoice (requires the Pro version with multiple payment gateways).

That discussion has a little more info.

We have the pro version, but my question really has nothing to do with the partial payments, My question has to do with passing that info to PayPal, how do I remove “Tickets” and put something different when they checkout with PayPal?

Hello,

What version of Event Espresso are you using? The latest version passes the Ticket name over to PayPal.

Version 3.1.15.P

How do i get it to pass data or should it do it automatically?

Hi Tyler,

That is a very old version of Event Espresso, if you are using the Lite version you can upgrade via the WordPress repository or you can purchase a support and update licence

I cannot advise how to modify that version to make it transfer data over as the payment gateways have been altered since that point.

It really is recommended to update for additional features and bug fixes.

so if I have purchased the pro version already, do i get free upgrades or do I have to purchase each new version again?

Hi Tyler,

The pro version includes one year of support and updates. If you purchased after March 2012, you can request an account update here:

http://staging.eventespresso.com/contact/update-request/

If you purchased prior to March 2012, you can renew your support license to get access to updates for one year. There is more information about the support license terms here:
