(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/staging-poc/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114 Partial Payment - Payment Link Always Shows Total Amount | Event Espresso - Staging Server
It is often the case that our customers pay for an event with a gift voucher which we currently add manually. If this does not cover the full amount due we would like to be able to resend the payment link so that they can pay themselves online.
When we do this, the ‘amount due’ shows the full cost of the event, even if we have applied a partial payment. This stops most people from proceeding, as you can imagine.
Are you adding the [cost] shortcode to the email notification? If you do that it will output the price of the event (as expected). The payment page takes into consideration the amount paid and so they can see how much is due.
After following the steps within the link, when paying for the event the Paypal gateway will allow the attendee to input a payment amount. http://d.pr/i/nfFO
If you input a payment manually through the admin (http://d.pr/i/QlAx) and the attendee then visits the payment page they will see the amount paid and amount owed. They can then pay the reamined to complete the registration. http://d.pr/i/iDj7
*Note this is only available through the Paypal Standard payment gateway currently.
