Is there not a way to manual change the order of events on the event list page?

There are ways to order events in the event list, one way is done automatically by a specified parameter:

Step 1: Hide the page with the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode from the site’s navigation menu. If the WP theme supports the built in WP menu manager, use that feature to hide this page from the site navigation. A plugin like the exclude pages from navigation plugin is a recommended alternative.

Step 2: Use the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode along with the order_by parameter. See this information for available parameters: http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/shortcodes-template-variables/#event-list
With this method, you could order these by ID, which would be the same order you’ve created the events in.

Alternatively, if you want to manually create an event list, you can create a page and compose alist the events manually, then link to each event using the standard WP link to page feature.
