Can I just use EE to register logged in users to my events? I am using the WP User Integration add on so my members/users have already paid for the privileged. How do I disable the payment gateway features once members/users hit the register button?
If I am understanding your question correctly, you are wanting logged in users to be automatically registered to events?
If that is the case, then no EE doesnt have an option for that, it is designed so users can be selective about the events they wish to attend.
I’m not sure how you have this set up, but in my mind the setup would be:
Membership plugin such as S2Member to allow customers to purchase membership of the site
USe WP User Integration (Members) add on to make the events free for registered users (thus no payment gateway).
This would mean none members would still be able to register for the events but would have to pay on a per event basis (normally more expensive).
Members, as mentioned, would still need to register for events, but if their profile is filled out and the events are free to members the process is quite quick.
Hi Dean,
Sorry for the confusion. I still want logged in users/members to pick events and register but the events are free. I just don’t want members to go through the payment gateway once they hit the ‘register’ button. How do I set this up?
You can set this up by installing the WP user integration add-on and setting the Member Pricing to 0.00 in the event editor for these events. This way it will not go to the payment gateway when they register for events.
