Hi,

I have training courses that are run as either a 5 day block i.e. Monday to Friday or as day release i.e. Every Friday for 5 weeks.

How do i create day release events without creating separate or reccuring events that are billed individually.

The day release course needs to be billed and advertised as a day release course. With the confirmation email also specifying those dates.

Thanks &
Best wishes,

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

Currently you would need to create separate events. However you can link the registrations for all the events to one single event to give one attendee list/payment. To explain a little more, you create 5 events (Event 1-5) but Events 2-5 all use Event 1’s registration URL, this is done using the ‘Alternate Registration Page’ feature within Events 2-5 options and setting that to Event 1.

When a use clicks on Events 2-5 they actually see Event 1’s registration form. So are everyone registers and pays for Event 1.

Does that help?

Thanks Tony,

Is there a way to stop the other 4 events showing in the events list?

Best wishes,

Nathan

Without editing any code the easiest way to do this would be to create a category and place the first instance of a series into that category, then use the EVENT_LIST shortcode to display only that category.

For example you could create a category ‘first-event’

http://d.pr/i/9sm4

Then any event you include in that category can be called using the category_identifier parameter

[EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier]

*note EVENT_LIST is not a replacement for ESPRESSO_EVENTS and should be included within another page.
