I’ve installed the Ticketing plugin but I don’t see it anywhere in the Settings, went to Event Espresso and it’s not listed in the dashboard. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Jim,

Try deactivating the Roles and Permissions add-on until we can get that update issue sorted. That may be why you can’t see the ticketing add-on.

OK, now I see the Ticket Templates page.

Jim, which version numbers of Event Espresso, Ticketing, and Roles and permissions basic do you have installed?

Jim Felder

EE – Version 3.1.24.1.P
Event Espresso – Ticketing – Version 2.0.6-beta
Event Espresso – Permissions – Version 1.5

I downloaded all of these this morning from my account page.

Copied this list from the Downloads list on my account page:

Event Espresso v3.1.24.1.P
Ticketing v2.0.6-beta
Recurring Events v1.1.7
Social Media v1.1.4
Events Calendar v2.0.2
Roles & Permissions (BASIC) v1.5.1
Multiple Event Registration v1.0.4
Custom Files v3.1
Groupon Integration v1.5.1
MailChimp Integration v1.0.4
WP User Integration v1.9

Am I missing something?

Here’s what I have activated:

Event Espresso
Event Espresso – Calendar
Event Espresso – Members Addon
Event Espresso – Multi Event Registration
Event Espresso – Permissions
Event Espresso – Ticketing

Jim,
Try downloading a fresh copy of the Roles and Permissions add-on from your account page.

OK, did that. Installed via wordpress dashboard. Activated the Roles and Permissions and Ticketing went away. Deactivated R&P and Ticketing came back.

Which version number of R&P is active? It should be R&P 1.5.1.

Jim Felder

Version 1.5.1

I deleted the older R&P plugin and installed the new one.

Try going into the User Roles tab of the R&P manager and checking on the espresso_* capabilities for the admin.

Sorry, not sure where you’re talking about. I went to User Roles for espresso_event_admin and these two are checked: “espresso_event_admin” and “espresso_event_manager” and “read”. Nothing else.

I went to “Administrator” and all were checked except: ” espresso_event_admin” and “espresso_event_manager” and “espresso_group_admin” and “create roles” and “restrict content” and maybe some others.

Not sure where to find this that you are referring to.

After doing this Ticketing tab still not showing up.

Josh

With the administrator role setting, check on the capabilities that are checked off. Then save, then log out/log back in.

Jim Felder

I have checked “on” all options on the User Roles for “administrator” role. Still the Ticketing is not showing up. Do you think I should disable any other plugins outside of EE?

Jim Felder

OK, tried that. It didn’t work.

Hey Jim–

I was able to reproduce the issue on my dev install. We’ve let the dev team know and will have a fix for this posted soon.

Josh

There will be a fix in the next update. For now, you should be able to get the ticket templates link to appear with R&P active by going into the permissions tab and re-saving the permissions settings. That page should be yoursite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_permissions

This worked Josh, thank you. I now see both ticketing and R&P.
