Hi,
I played around with lite and decided to buy the premium business licence. Changed a few things in several template files and hardcoded a little bit in some other files. Changed some things in the translation file and created a few events.

How can i save as much as possible? Are the files of lite and premium the same?

What is a good way to start?

-1 de-activate plugin lite
-2 give file on server other name.
-3 install premium.
and then?

Are there any conflicts with database? Or are certain things imported?

Is there a possibility of export/import of stuff from lite to premium?

Who has experience with this.

Thanks,
Evert

Hi Evert,

The Lite version of the plugin uses the same structure as the Premium version of the plugin, however their may be some slight file changes.

You would be best first using a diff tool like DiffMerge to check the files especially if you have edited core files, just to make sure.

Then I would upload the premium version, FTP up the modified core files and deactivate Lite and activate the Premium version.

If there are any errors I would rename the uploads/espresso directory (thus forcing the plugin to use the default templates and not the modified ones) and then check the templates.

We are still trying to separate logic from structure in the templates, so if you edited an older template file it may not work on updates without tweaks.

The database is the same for both Lite and Premium, so requires no modifications. I would however create a back up as per normal, in case anything unexpected happens.

Once everything is looking ok, delete the Lite directory.
