I have prepared an email under Email manager, but how can I send a test, to check its appearance?
Create a test event. Add your email to this event. Manually register yourself for this event. You’re right if you’re immediately thinking this is a poor workaround, but we’ve never built in a “send test email” function for this, unfortunately. We do have an email all attendees function, but you need to be an attendee for that event, first.
Chris, the ’email all attendees’ feature is why I want to send a test? I have no way of knowing what this will look like, 100%, if I use the feature. One for the new feature list, me thinks!
Hi Bins, You can follow Chris’ “workaround” and use the Email All Attendees feature to test. It should work in the test like it does in the real events. Also, I will add this to the feature request list.
I didn’t do a test, just sent it out – a bit risky, I know! Apart from a line return formatting issue, I put links in to go to the event. These worked on a PC, but not on an iPad – the link page states ‘this event has expired or is no longer available’
Hi bins, What is the link in the email that is returning to an expired event page in the iPad?
/event-registration/?ee=12 This is a new event, where the link works on PC browsers!
It should be main-registration-page/?ee=12, /event-registration/ takes my browser to a 404 page. Is the event-registration page in the trash or privately published? That said, ?ee=12 is taking my browser to an expired event.
Id that an iPad issue then?
Which page contains the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode? Is it published and public? Is it set as the Main Page in the General Settings? Are there any pages in your Trash which may contain that shortcode?
