I’ve looked everywhere and haven’t seen this yet. Are there no plans for giving Event Espresso the functionality to have parent and child categories on events? This probably isn’t most peoples use case scenario but it seems like it could be easy to implement? Perhaps not as from what I can see the events are not custom post types.

Hello Deborah,

There are no plans to do this with 3.1.X. However in 4.X events will be true custom posts types so having hierarchical categories shouldn’t be an issue.

Hi Dean, I know it’s probably on the site somewhere, but any idea when v4 comes out. beta even?

Beta is due in November if all goes according to plan. There will be no add on support initially.
