Only activate the payments that accept credit cards, any of the third party gateway options will do. You’ll need to have an account with one of them first.

Then be sure to not activate the off-line payment options like the invoice and check/money order options.

How can i have only 1, (or selected events) with online (paypal)ONLY, but all others allow both on & off line paymetns? I’d assume there would be a ‘switch’ in the event setup, but can’t find any…

The payment options will apply to all events. You could try this though:

1) Activate the invoice payment option, be sure to include payment instructions and update the address.
2) Set the invoice payment setting to not display as an option on the payment page (this option is on the lower right side of the invoice payment settings box)
3) For the event that you will only be offering the PayPal option, create a custom confirmation email that does not include the [invoice_link] shortcode. All the other events should have this shortcode in the email message.
4) Set the registration confirmation emails to go out before payment. When someone clicks on the invoice link in the email, this will generate an invoice PDF and set the payment status to pending.
