We just install Event Espresso and are very excited to start using it for our luncheon planning. Our luncheons have a set maximum number of people (say 150) but that is the total number of people who can be present in the room so it must include staff. It seems that the staff I’ve added to the event are not counting towards that total. Our staff are all volunteer so we’re not sure how many are planning to attend (so we can’t just reduce the total registration number by a set amount).
1) Is there a way to have staff added to the total? Do I need to make them regular attendees?
2) If they need to be regular attendees – is there a way to have them register that wouldn’t charge a ticket price? Other than giving them a promo code (we’d ideally like to not turn that on). Most ideally, they’d have a different registration page.
When you add staff to an event it doesn’t automatically count the staff towards the event’s limit. What you can do is register each volunteer staff for the event via the admin and that will count them toward the total limit.
