So I just purchased the business license and went along with a clean WP installation for development purposes, and getting to know the features.

The seating chart has proven to be a bit of a challenge. I’m trying to get my head around how the room will look based on the Excel document.

What I’d like is something like this.

    [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]
    [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]

    [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]
    [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]

    [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]
    [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]

But what I get is

[x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x] | [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x] | [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x] | [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]
[x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x] | [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x] |  [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x] | [x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x][x]

Got any ideas? I’m super interested in the slightest of documentation as I feel I’m running around with a knife in the dark.

Figured it out.
Really hard to work with this unless we’re given some documentation, even at this early stage in the process of development.

So by luck, I found the “placeholder” tag in another forum post.

I made one section. Section A. Two rows with 9 seats each. Then a row of placeholder. And another set of two rows with 9 seats. And another placeholder, with the last set of two rows with 9 seats.

Finally got where I wanted. All I miss now is a way to show who’s occupying what seat.

Hi Ola,

Really sorry this is a late response, but I am glad you worked it out.

Yes, the documentation on the Seating chart add on is currently thin to say the least. I have been charged with producing more documentation so I will make sure that this is at the top of the pile.

Regarding your request of who is in which seat, that is not currently possible to do.
