I need advice. How do I handle selling events offered at multiple times on same day. I have MER setup. When I use the same date twice it “cancels” the idea. When I add a second time to the event, it doesn’t display on the front-end.
I’m not sure I follow. Can you explain what you mean be using the same date twice something cancels the idea?
Events can support more than one time selection, but there isn’t a reliable way of tracking attendance limits between the two times. If the second time isn’t displaying on the front end, that may be the result of one of your customizations.
My bad. Because we are so close to launch, I have registration start time locked down. (Site URL is released overnight but Registration starts at 10 am.) Left a few events on for testing. OK, turned one of them on for testing and it works.
I understand about the limitation of (well) limits. As a pre-caution, I would like the customer to be required to select the time rather than it defaulting to the first time. Is that possible? We have everything defaulting to “1” during checkout (we don’t sell more than 1 of anything) and I can see customers failing to switch to the time the prefer time. Headaches galore!
Once we have met our Limit for a Time, can we safely Remove the Time from the Event Record. My understanding is the Time will remain in the Transaction record. Right?
I might setup and item and test that if I get a chance.
I’d recommend setting up an event for each specific time.
